I am also a published author, both nonfiction and fiction. I was one of the founders and first President of the CorgiAid Foundation for rescue funding for corgis. I have been an officer of ISA, the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society. I have also been a firstreader for Mercedes Lackey, Eric Flint, and John Ringo, as well as an occasional slush reader for Baen Books.I am also a member of the Editorial Committee of Baen's Universe magazine. I am the bananaslug at Baen's Bar, because I went to the University of California at Santa Cruz.
